In the heart of Rotterdam, a city that knows how to rebuild and regenerate, lies a hidden gem tucked away behind a lush line of trees. A worker wonderland where you are invited to crash in comfort. This place stands without frills, it is functional and yet fancy. It’s your Rotterdam pied-à-terre, a place to catch forty winks without worry and wake, eyes wide, refreshed and ready.

Here, nothing is as it seems, creating an intoxicating rehab from fast paced urban life. A rainbow of radical ideas take shape and you chose the path. There are no ifs and no butts. Relinquish control and revel in this new reality.

Guest Rooms

Enter through the bathroom, where soft textured tiles and soap bubble gradients, lead you to your bedroom. By starting the guest room experience with the bathroom, the challenge of limited space is made to an advantage. Hallways and bathrooms are integrated, making the bathrooms appear spacious.

The back rooms have an iconic bed situated at the window. A room within a room, which not only functions as your place to sleep, but also as your desk, lounge sofa and luggage storage.

Suites

The suites facing the Eendrachtsplein allow room for a bath and table seating. Here too, guests enter through the bathroom, with the color palette indicating the transition from bathroom to bedroom.

Elegant, curved shapes amplify Unplugged’s seamless, flexible and fluid guest experience.

Public Spaces

The hotel’s ground floor is the vibrant heart of Unplugged and opens up to the neighborhood around Eendrachtsplein.

At Unplugged there is no reception, no concierge nor a restaurant. Unlike a traditional hotel, it is operated like a community center.

A vibrant, vivid and vigorous design embodies the Unplugged spirit, which is captured in a living room, a co-working space and guest rooms, all run by locals characters. During your stay you are a Rotterdammer for a few days.

Branding & Naming

The name of the hotel is a direct referral to the location at Eendrachtsplein, where the statue by Paul McCarthy is well known throughout the city.

The branding emphasises the concept of being unplugged from your devices. It plays with the white noise your tv would show when disconnected from the signal.
